Twilight Hues (Mandy Main)

This painting reflects my point of view as both an artist and an advocate for the natural world. For me, the ocean is not simply a beautiful subject—it is something worth protecting. The luminous horizon with its layered colors captures a fleeting moment when light transforms the sea and sky into something almost otherworldly. My concern about climate change and the health of our oceans influences the way I experience and paint these landscapes. My point of view is one of wonder, but also responsibility: we are connected to the ocean, and its future is in our hands.
