Las Palmas triptych (Carla Roth)

Las Palmas, triptych explores what happens when something recognizable begins to shift into something ambiguous. Fragments are intentionally placed to create a whole, while individual forms maintain their own identity. The layering of forms creates relationships that are balanced but slightly tense, with an architectural sense of how they occupy space. The space between the elements is as important as the elements themselves. Together, the three works become a family of forms, each responding to and speaking to the others.
