This piece was inspired by my incredible cat, whose photograph I was lucky enough to capture. On the technical side, the photograph has been embellished with multiple layers of colored chalk, colored pencil, and acrylic paint. A final coat of gloss varnish was applied.
On the surface, it’s just a photograph. However, on the emotional side, the experience offers so much more. When I looked up and our eyes locked, I was suddenly in awe of this tiny creature. How I envied his grace and poise as he sat safely on his wooden throne surrounded by a canopy of foliage and flowers.
