A day in the woods restores something within me. Surrounded by earth, trees, shadow and filtered light, I
feel the noise of the world begin to disappear. This painting is my point of view of the forest-not simply as a place but a sanctuary. The textures and muted colors reflect the quiet beauty of nature. My hope is that
we can save these beautiful spaces on our planet.
