Memory, emotion and place hold fast in our relationship with animal companions. The narrative of this work encompasses the bittersweet of life’s transitions. Bright colors and images looking up and floating are reflective of the joy never ending, even as we experience loss of the familiar. Looking up from our lives allows us to memorialize love, joy and sorrow all at once..
Porcelain Paper clay, slab and tarpaper construction, underglaze painted and sprayed with a clear glaze. Cone 10 (2345 degrees) fired in gas oxidation kiln.
