Memories I (Paula Di Tada)

Growing up on a ranch, horses were part of my everyday landscape.

One of the memories that has stayed with me most vividly is the sound my horse made when drinking from the stream. The rhythm and intimacy of that ordinary act became part of the sensory landscape of my childhood.

This sculpture revisits that memory through the familiar form of a horse, lowered into the vulnerable, instinctive act of drinking, inviting the spectator to tap into their own memories and their relationship with nature.
