Broken Soul (Gideon Cohn)

***Broken Soul*** features a seated, introspective figure rendered in a vibrant, mosaic-like grid of overlapping color facets. Warm oranges, golds, and muted reds highlight the contours of the curled body, contrasted by surrounding greens and deep blues.

Painted on a uniquely wave-curved canvas set within a wooden box frame, the undulating three-dimensional surface physicalizes internal turmoil and emotional depth, enhancing the artwork's cubist, stained-glass quality. The piece masterfully bridges physical shape with vulnerability.
