This meditative art piece highlights the beautiful patterns, peaceful vibe, and vibrant colors that bloom under the sea. I begin without a design plan, creating loose shapes with flowing movements in pencil. Adding patterns with archival and gel ink to the piece morphs the shapes into familiar objects. Layers of alcohol ink bring in depth and excitement through color. Detail and interest is added with more patterning over the color. I study Zentangle®, a meditative practice of repetitive pattern drawing. This piece is Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA). I hope you enjoy it!
