As a fan of Van Goghs’ work, I was interested in using segments of his paintings interpreted on a three-dimensional form. I grew up with rotary phones and felt the need to preserve not only their function, but their sculptural integrity. Interesting note that when dialed, Van Goghs’ head does a 360° circle.
