Second homes are great but most of us are still searching for our safe place, a sense of belonging or an opportunity for rebirth. So I created a giant nest out of found sticks and branches, shaped it, got it wet and let dry in the sun for 3 weeks. I then got a model to pose in the fetal position with out any possessions and photographed it. This is part of a series about human nesting that is expressed in many artistic disciplines. I have a plan to make a public art installation of a giant nest with benches in it for meditating.
