This piece is part of a series called "High Beams". The series began using actual car headlights, but later expanded to include other types of artificial light sources that are introduced on site. These 'light interventions' create a cinematic effect in otherwise natural scenes.

In this image I used my car's headlights to light the foreground. My goal here is to capture the experience of driving at night in the desert.
