Center Cross is made from 16 layers of glass. A part of the image is painted with enamel on each layer, then the enamel is baked on each layer in a kiln. When all the layers are complete they are stacked back into the kiln, and fired at 1500F to create a single, thick panel that is 2" thick.
My current geometric series uses patterns and color gradations to create deep dimension inside the glass.
