My creative process takes the history and tradition of art and handicraft and moves that process into a contemporary space. The use of needlepoint is a homage of the historical antecedents of women who expressed their creativity through needlework. The mixing of dry pigments harks back to the history of color before synthetic paint was discovered.

The hand-rolled papers mimic notes that carrier pigeons transported during war times. These notes represent secret codes that will be deciphered and reveal the messages to the spies.
