Refractured skyscape scene of dawn over the Salton Sea - looking across to "Lithium Valley" - on oval upcycled panel with cutout heart overlay. Poem written for and into the work reads:

We mine and cull and burn for our own gains

Then harder mine to try to erase our stains

And when we're done, the sky is what remains.

This refers to the mining of lithium in order to try to mitigate the effects of mining and burning fossil fuels.
