In February of 2017 I traveled to Vermont to shoot in real winter, not the mild Southern California version. For at least the first part of my month there I got my wish. After that it warmed up, and the locals lamented the changes that had reduced the number of snowy days in recent years.
In this picture I lit the trailer by "painting" with a small LED flashlight. The ambient light was from the nearby town of Johnson, city light that bounced into the low overcast and lit this scene. It was much darker than it looks here, but the camera is a light-gathering machine.
