"Discovered Poppies" draws your view into a lush, world of vibrant colors and intricate details. Crimson petals and gold leaf shimmer with light and life amongst layers of lost and found color.
The intense vibrancy is delivered through crystal plexiglass. I call painting on the reverse of the surface Color Charged. Nature is my inspiration because of the emotions it evokes.
Reverse painting was a specialty of the ancient Chinese court and originally developed in Persia centuries before. This piece is painted on 1/2” cast plexiglass, acrylic paints, and standoff mounting is included,
