Earth's dangerous beauty is very extreme in the Mojave Desert. Flooding rains during monsoon season often create sensational super blooms, carpets of brilliant flowers covering the drab expanse of desert sands.
My kimono of fiberglass window screen is appliqued in brilliant silk dupionni to capture the fleeting moment of Gaia's gift to the desert.
