True Wisdom’s Shining Lamp is a hand built accent light made from stamped ceramic slabs and decorated with carved double circle and double heart designs symbolic of both unity and duality.
This accent light represents the ocean shore where the water meets the sand as the glaze moves along the surface of the clay body. As the light emanates through the portholes, it symbolizes bioluminescence.
My glazing process begins with hand measuring and mixing my own glaze formulas. When glazing a piece I use both disciplined precision as well as spontaneity to embellish my work.
