4.5 billions years is the length our planet has been in the solar system. The piece depicts the distance of over 4900 miles from the center of our planet to the surface. On the surface the highest mountain is 7 miles high and the deepest ocean trench is 7 miles below. Our effect on this rock, we call 'Earth', is not significant to its survival. What is questionable is our survival with each other on this very hospitable planet.
