Still Life with Fruit

I love the still life genre…something I learn to appreciate while residing in The Netherlands for close to eight years. I am a feminist painter so fruit in this art piece depicts the sensual aspects of women…the pear shape, roundness of the grapes….earthy shapes. My preferred medium is oil on canvas but have used cold wax in my more abstract pieces. So I do go back and forth between these two mediums.
