"Rising" is about entanglements and contradictions, life’s ups and downs, including dream-like metaphors, conveying the artworks’ “story” of introspection, reflection and hope, on the part of artist and viewer symbolized in the unexpected openings and spatial clashes. I want viewers to think about what they see or think they see - realism vs. surrealism, organic vs. abstract.
