Many Gay people have a difficult time accepting their sexuality and deciding to come out of the closet and be publicly open. This painting depicts the quandary faced in making those decisions. On one side of the closet are negative teachings, myths and labels espoused by religious groups and other homophobic persons relative to Gays. On the other side are positive realities about homosexuals which outweigh the negatives. Still, when confronted all your life with the negatives, it's hard to face the uncertainty and make the decision to accept yourself and confront the world as Gay.
