THE GOLDEN SOW

The Golden Sow began as an experiment in colour. As I progressed, the abstract image of a sow’s face appeared. I followed the theme and so the sow emerged. Much of my work starts and ends this way. I begin with shapes and forms and juxtapose them against each other. At some point, an image reveals itself to me and I feel compelled to carry it to completion. Often the viewer sees something different and I am delighted to see a variety of images reveal themselves to the viewers. Art is so subjective and if my work evokes multiple individual responses, so much the better. My vision is only o
