With a lot more time at home during the pandemic the past three years, I took a leap from my usual modus operandi of drawing celebrity portraits in black and white to painting them in oils and working in color, marking a pivotal turning point in the trajectory of my evolution as an artist. I imagine my future artwork continuing to evolve from portraiture of famous people to depictions of more idealized figures and still life objects within my compositions to portray surrealistic stories.
