The Milky Way reaches high into the sky over Tenaya Lake in Yosemite National Park. Note the reflections in the lake of some of the hundreds of billions of stars that constitute our Milky Way galaxy. It is estimated that 80% of the world's population has never seen, and will never see, the Milky Way because the lights of our brightly developed world obscure the stars. One must travel far from the lights of civilization in the intense dark of moonless nights to enjoy the magnificent beauty of our skies.
