The full arc of the Milky Way is seen over Monument Valley, Arizona. The green light visible under the arc is an atmospheric phenomenon known as airglow. The enormity of our galaxy, the Milky Way, requires multiple photographs stitched together. For me, this photograph conveys the peace, quiet and beauty of the darkest night in a remote area far from people and city lights.
