Windward is the second work I have constructed out of twigs and branches collected while walking in open areas of the surrounding desert. Most of the wood is from the Creosote Bush. I painted it white to increase the contrast of dark and light between the individual pieces as well as the shadows on the surrounding walls. As the composition is wired together, it can be hung in any direction as well as on a curved surface.
