Prior to living in the Coachella Valley, I lived in Santa Fe for six years. When I moved to New Mexico I was instantly spellbound by Spanish-style painted doors. I would find old doors, once beautiful, strongly built with character, but neglected by age. I brought them back to life, to create a restored beauty, a rebirth, so they shine and may be loved again.
On this piece I added painted aluminum vitamin cups as a playful and tactile reminder that art is fun.
The door is wrapped in metal and finished with a marine varnish to withstand the elements.
Perfect for a courtyard or a garden space.
