The Dutch Masters of the 17th-century’s Golden Age have influenced my photographs. For centuries, the pomegranate’s blood-red hue has been a potent symbol of femininity, a visual representation of both passion and fertility. The Masters’ handling of light and shadow, particularly their use of dramatic chiaroscuro, has profoundly inspired my own work. I often juxtapose stark contrasts between light and dark to create a sense of depth and drama.
