Accept Yourself (Bob Healea)

Accepting yourself as Gay and coming out to others as Gay are two separate things. Admitting that fact to yourself is difficult since it goes against all you have been taught regarding social, religious and family values, as well as legal and safety issues. You have to admit it to yourself before you can admit it to any others. Until you can say the words out loud “I am Gay”, you haven’t accepted it because you think it will go away or you can go back.
