On a visit to San Francisco, arrived late afternoon. After we got out of the car, first image I see as we surveyed the area were scores of exterior fire escapes on the fronts of the buildings and they all had amazing, bold shadow patterns on very interesting architectural facades. Just had to chronicle and paint- thrilled with the result!
