My pace slows as the view opens.

Mountains wrap around the wash.

The alluvial fan reaches beyond my view.

My breath lengthens, my shoulders drop, I linger here.

How the Smoke Tree softens the mountain's edge.

Into the crisp air, I breath in deeper being.
