The Salton Sea was developed as a desert oasis paradise featuring fishing and water sports. Resorts and housing developments were begun. But the the Salton Sea was unsustainable. The Salton Sea and the winds became toxic.
Saving the Salton Sea shows the shrinking sea, remains of housing developments, fisheries, and the infamous Salvation Mountain.
Treasure hunters find fish bones, skeletons and jewels uncovered by wind, shifting sands and the shrinking sea.
