Taken late one afternoon as a storm approached, the barn was illuminated by the sun, low in the sky behind me, while at the same time the sky was dark from the storm behind the barn. The value of light around me is what caught my eye. I only had a 3MP point-and-shoot camera in my car, and wind gusts almost prevented me opening my car door to capture the scene (which was taken through a chainlink fence!). But, in the end, I got the image I wanted...and then some.
