Early morning light suffuses this scene with deep shadows on the foreground path, contrasted by brilliant sunshine in the middle ground, and cool mountain ridges beyond. Loose brushstrokes in the simplified tree forms balance linear patterning in foreground shadows and areas of flat color. The cool color palette is a balanced by warmer green tones.
The path gently melds into the unknown horizon, while also focusing on the beauty and brilliance visible in this moment, literally almost everywhere one looks.
