“The Jester Fairy Tale” is woven paper with printed canvas of my past artworks involving imaginary circus and fairy tale characters. Jesters and jokers have been a common character in my work throughout the years. To me, they represent the fallibility of the human race. Weaving puts together disparate images and colors to form new meaning much like collage. But in my work, it gives the sense of reuniting the past and present and unusual colors and textures for a new poetic displacement.
