This project uses the object, a photograph, to explore how one reinterprets memories, how we shape and revise our understanding of the past. I utilized filters which upon close inspection render the images painterly, dreamlike, making one question the origin of the medium, the reality of the image. I incorporate sand into the image giving the object texture and a sense of place.
