Dr. Kam Newman

Dr. Newman is a rheumatologist at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. I was in my fifth year of pneumonia, and we still didn't know the root cause. Throughout the ordeal, my primary care physician, Dr. Paul Biskar, wanted to know the root cause. He set up a meeting with Dr. Kam Newman. Within three weeks, they discovered the root cause -- my bone marrow produces too many of a certain type of white blood cell. He prescribed a monthly infusion at the Lucy Cursi Cancer Center, which I may have to get for the rest of my life. But, in the meantime, their efforts are keeping me healthy, productive and happy.
